The Mission Never Ends, Only the Location Changes!

At about 10:01am, the Faith Team left the parking lot headed north.  This was a special team that excelled at:  Loving God, Loving People and Serving As Needed.  Hmmm, kinda neat 'cause that's exactly what was on their mission team shirts when they arrived!

March 31 Morning

Good morning everyone!  We're up, breakfasted and already heading out for our last day of ministry (this time).  Here's where people are going today:

Eagle Street Ministry Site:  Working with a bobcat and other big boy tools to finish the basketball court.
Eagle Street Ministry Site:  Cleaning the ministry house.  We tracked in lots of cement and mud yesterday.
Intercessors:  To pray us through today.
Lazarus House:  Friendship evangelism and whatever else they need today.
Project Leader Interns:  Research and travel today to set up future ministries as well as prepare tonight's special dinner and help out teams with whatever needs they may have.
Hy & Libba's Home:  Repair electrical stuff, landscaping and whatever else they need.
Jim Skinner's b'day today.  God bless his socks off!

March 30 Incredible Day!

Just got back from a SUPER day of ministry!  Working on editing over 600 photos from today alone.  Now uploading pics.  One last day of ministry tomorrow.

First day adventures

(Anna Erdman) Soooooo today was a FANTABULOUS first day =) My team (O'Neil house) Was working on a house that was in need of many LARGE repairs. We started with no tools, no equipment, basically just our hands and God. We started with going to Home Depot to get some supplies and met this wonderful lady who worked there and prayed for her. Its insane to see what God can do at a regular store
(Hannah Isosaki) The part of today that really had a big impact on me was how God puts us on a path and leads us in directions that have huge significance to a very special person. All these small events had to happen perfectly in order for us to meet that very special lady from Home Depot and I believe that God was desperately reaching out to her and that he used us to do it. That little per chance meeting had effected me so much because God had completely laid it on my heart to go to her and pray with her and I'm incredible grateful that God laid that on my heart. <3

March 27th = We're here!!

The two days of driving weren't that bad - We only almost killed each other. (Just kidding). We got into New Orleans about four thirty and met our awesome hosts.  Hy and Libba were super mega totally cool.  All of us here are really excited to serve the Lord and the people here in New Orleans. although the bugs will be a slight problem...
Right now Jim is making 3 guys eat a full cup of Altoids. They're not going very fast and its kinda boring. but we all have faith in Jim. Also, seafood is THE food. Its cajun or nothin baby. The people here are so diverse in terms of  religions as well as lifestyles and such.
God's in charge and we're gonna try our best to do His will.  PRAY FOR US!

The Survivor Food Auction Begins!

Wow!  We had 25 of the 29 Mission Team Members at our 1st Annual Survivor Camp Day on January 3rd.  Wes Slawson and his son, Brian, led us through Survivor challenges, missionary training and food that we've never had before.
